Objective: To excite otherwise-stable plasma waves by means of stochastic resonance, for which suitable-amplitude background noise resonates with normal modes.
Significance: Stochastic resonance methods may provide availability of a noisy systems large free energy to selected coherent normal modes of the plasma.
Long Range Goal: To determine how much energy can be coupled from a large plasma into a small number of gyro-resonant plasma waves.
